Michael O’Shea & Team

I have always loved the way the world looks through the lens of a camera. As a teenager I transformed my parents’ basement into a darkroom, and ever since then photography has been my great love. My years of professional detours, including a career in business and experience as an actor, combined with my passion for world travel, have all contributed to my specialized knowledge in three areas: corporate photography, actor headshots, and portraiture.

I have a knack for creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for my clients, who range from individuals to large organizations. My studio is located at The Ironworks, a heritage building just east of Vancouver’s historic Gastown. The venue features large, open spaces, aged brick walls, fir beams and columns, wood-plank floors, and 16-foot ceilings. This remarkable setting provides unique opportunities to create images that are truly original.

My style is collaborative and interactive. Together we can create the image that authentically represents you and the story you want to tell.

Tina Lamanes
photo assistant and marketing

Tina, as my longest serving assistant, is an invaluable part of the team. Having worked for me while acing her communications program at Capilano University, I’m now afraid she’s going to want a raise. Smart and fun – I like that.

Sharareh Hamed
photo assistant

Having completed her degree in biology, Sharareh has, of course, embarked on a career in photography and video. A great spirit with a keen eye, she’s always got my back.

Jocelyn Yaniv
hair and makeup

My number one go-to makeup artist. Jocelyn does excellent work and my clients love her. You should know however that she has an Uzi at home. No, not that kind but a beautiful boy named Uzi, a common Hebrew name meaning strength.
